The Red Brick Crocs

LEGO and Crocs collaborated to create The Red Brick Crocs, a pair of shoes in the shape of LEGO’s iconic bricks. For the release, LEGO wanted a series of social media and web assets that combined live-action photography with 3D animation, for use across mobile and desktop. LEGO provided a small selection of their kits in 3D format, which were then textured, animated and rendered before being composited into the existing product photography, designed to feel as though the 3D elements were already present during the shoot.

I animated, textured, lit and rendered the LEGO butterfly from their ‘Insect Collection’, along with LEGO leaves blowing across the scene, bringing movement to the otherwise static photography.
